TECHNICAL PAPER
Unlocking ultra-high-density seismic for CCUS applications by combining nimble nodes and agile source technologies
A technical paper published in SEG's Leading Edge (volume 41, issue 1) written by Amine Ourabah (STRYDE) and Allan Châtenay (Explor).
The paper discusses the process and results of conducting the densest land seismic survey acquired on the planet to date - an ultra-high-density seismic survey acquired in June 2020 in partnership with STRYDE, Explor, and Carbon Management Canada at a CCUS research site in Canada, where the smallest and lightest source and receiver equipment in the industry were used to achieve a trace density of 257 million traces/km2.
